Federico Tramarin

Federico Tramarin (S’07-M’12) is a senior Post-Doctoral researcher with the Institute of Electronics, Computer and Telecommunication Engineering of the National Research Council of Italy (IEIIT-CNR) and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Padova. He got his the master’s degree in electronic engineering and the Ph.D. degree in information engineering from the University of Padua, Padua, Italy, in 2008 and 2012, respectively. His research activities are related to the field of industrial informatics, and in particular are focused on the design of protocols and algorithms for real-time communication systems. On this subjects, he co-authored more than 40 scientific publications in prestigious international journals, book chapters and conferences proceedings, and he has been awarded with three Best Paper Awards. He serves as a reviewer for several renowned international journals and guest editor of special issues. He is an editorial board member of the MDPI Information Journal. He is a member of the IEEE IES Technical Committee of Factory Automation. He has been also actively involved in the standardization activities of the IEEE 61158 standard, resulting as one the authors of the standard document.
