TC-37 - Measurements and Networking

Irida Shallari was born in Albania in 1992, where she also completed her Bachelor degree. She received her MSc degree in Embedded Computing Systems from the University of Southampton and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in 2016. Since 2016, Irida has worked at Mid Sweden University as PhD student and recently also as Adjunkt (lecturer) in embedded electronics. Her research interest is on the design of energy efficient smart sensor nodes for IoT applications, focusing mainly on smart cameras due to their higher computational complexity. In an environment of node, fog and cloud computing, the scope is to optimise the node energy consumption, relying on an efficient distribution of the computational load. Her publications provide methods on node offloading and design space reduction for energy efficient smart sensor nodes.
